Chamonix — Chamonix is a paradise for skiers (both beginners and advanced-level) — offering a multitude of slopes for all levels, each ski area having its own merit. Tremendously long slopes, skiing through the trees, free ride and off-piste, beginners slopes: an infinite number of possibilities for snow riders and mountain lovers alike.

 

The Grands Montets (1235 m – 3300 m) — located between the altitudes of 1235 m. and 3300 m., the Grands Montets area enables you to ski in the heart of the mountains, close to a glacier. The pistes are spread over three slopes – the Argentière glacier, Lognan and the Pendant which also offer magnificent off-piste, known throughout the world and essential for free riders. The quality of the snow coverage is remarkable up until May. For freestyle enthusiasts, a snow park and a boarder cross are open in the Lognan area. You can ski back to the resort on the Pierre à Ric piste.

 

Brévent and Flégère (1030 m – 2525 m) — These 2 ski areas have been linked by a cable car since 1997 and offer one of the most outstanding panoramas of the Alps. South-facing slopes with a wonderful variety of pistes and enviable views over the Mont-Blanc Massif. Gently acquire a tan in this idyllic environment whilst enjoying skiing on slopes adapted to all skiing abilities.

 

Balme – Vallorcine (1453 m – 2270 m) – located in the heart of nature, this area is accessible via the villages of Le Tour and Vallorcine, the snow-covered alpine pastures offer numerous possibilities on two distinct mountain sides.

 

Domaine Skiable des Planards (1045 m – 1249 m) — Ideal for children & beginners at 2 steps from Chamonix center: a large tray can accommodate with different suitable facilities: treadmill for children, and kindergarten level (Chamonix ESF Ski School), two lifts easily of loose green runs, then the four-seat chairlift carry skiers to an altitude of 1249m. Beginning of a long blue run and a red run which also hosts international ski competitions throughout the winter. And discover the incredible non-skier game : the Chamonix Luge Alpine Coaster : A real mountain coaster !

 

La Vormaine (1480 m) — Beginners skiing located at the foot of Charamillon on the Balme ski area, these sunny slopes are ideal for apprentice skiers and snowboarders, as for little ones (ski kindergarten run by the ski school). Freestyle area : Due to growing demand, is an equipped and secured area where beginners can try out their moves for the first time.
