Bordeaux Wine Festival
Bordeaux Wine Festival (Bordeaux) – in partnership with the Bordeaux Wine School, this event takes place every two years for four days at the Bordeaux quays. Pavilions featuring 80 appellations from Bordeaux and the Aquitaine region, as well as the great brands of Bordeaux wine, form a “wine road” stretching over 2 km along the banks of the Garonne.
Thanks to a tasting pass, visitors can enjoy sampling a host of different wines in the same location. From 11 am to midnight, in the eight Appellation Pavilions (Saint-Emilion-Pomerol-Fronsac, the Médoc and Graves, dry white and rosé wines of Bordeaux, Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur, Sweet Bordeaux, the Côtes de Bordeaux, the wines of Aquitaine) as well as wines from wine merchants in the 3 Pavillons Millésime or, “Vintage Pavilions”. Workshops (consisting of introductions to wine tasting, ad wine and food pairings) are conducted for visitors by the Bordeaux Wine School.
Along with this, a light show is held every evening of this festival at 11:00 pm on the façade of the Palais de la Bourse. There is even a music festival (held at the Place des Quinconces) which consists of local and international musical acts (covering various genres of music – from jazz & R&B, to pop, and even French Caribbean.
