Les Machines de l’Île

Les Machines de l’Île (Parc des Chantiers Blvd. Léon Bureau, 44200 Île de Nantes) – this is an unusual theme park. Inspired by the famed Nantes-born novelist Jules Vern, Italian architect & painter Leonardo da Vinci, and Nantes’ own industrial history, this theme park (located in the old shipyard building area called Les Nefs – the Naves), a number of attractions attract local and visiting families, such as “The Great Elephant” (a huge mechanized animal that can transport up to 50 passengers across the old shipyards), and “Workshop of the Company La Machine” (where visitors are offered a terrace view of the workshops where engineers and artists create these amazing machines), among other sections.

Opening hours vary with the season. Admission: €8.50 (adult), €6.90 (students, unemployed, disabled, children ages 4-17). Free for those under the age of 4 years. See the Les Machines website for more details: www.lesmachines-nantes.fr/en/practical-information/prices/individual-prices/
