Musée Marc Chagall
Musée Marc Chagall (36 Avenue Docteur Ménard, 06000 Nice) – this museum is dedicated to the Russian-born French painter Marc Chagall (1887-1985) (which holds the largest public collection of his works — over 400 painting, gouaches, drawings, wash drawings and pastels). Some of the better-known paintings housed there include a series of 17 paintings illustrating the biblical message (from the books of Genesis, Exodus and the Song of Songs) painted by Chagall and offered to the French government in 1966. Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (5:00 pm from November to April). Admission: €8 (general). Free admission (for all) during the first Sunday of the month.
